Application and Enrolment Process

Step 1: Complete the relevant application form

Domestic Students

Australian students are considered to be those students who are Australian citizens, Australian permanent residents or New Zealand residents.

Use Domestic Student Application Form.

Overseas Students

Overseas students are considered to be citizens of a country other than Australia or New Zealand.

Use Overseas Student Application Form.

Step 2: Attach all necessary documents

Checklist:

  • Completed application form
  • Proof of English proficiency (if available) – not applicable for native speakers
  • Authenticated* academic transcripts (high school or higher)
  • Design portfolio (6 to 10 peices of creative work)

For Course Credit (RPL or Credit Transfer):

Academic transcripts not in English need to be officially translated and submitted with copies of the academic transcripts in the original language.

*Authenticated documents must be:

1) Original documents (i.e. Testamur and transcript of results) provided by the candidate to an authorised Think: Education Group representative

2) Copies of the original documents (i.e. Testamur and transcript of results) provided by the candidate which have been either:

* Notarised by a Justice of the Peace or equivalent authority in the country of origin;
* Verified as a true and correct copy of the original documents by an approved Think: Education Group representative.

** All claimed work experience must be relevant to the qualification being applied for and be within the last 3 years of date of application. Mature age candidates must provide Statements of Service on official company letterhead providing contact details of the employer. Past employers will be contacted to verify work experience on a case by case basis.

Step 3: Submit your application

Processing Times:

Applications for our College will be processed within four working days of receipt of a complete application.

Applications with the request for Course Credit (RPL or Credit Transfer) may take longer than the standard processing period.

Step 4: Pay the enrolment deposit

An Enrolment Deposit is required to secure a place in the course and, for overseas students, before an electronic Confirmation of Enrolment (eCoE) can be issued.

Acceptance and Enrolment

Once we receive your application form and supporting documents, you may be asked to undertake an interview. Successful applicants will be issued a Letter of Offer, Written Agreement and Tax Invoice. Your signed Written Agreement is required to secure a place in the course. Payment of a deposit or submission of your FEE-HELP/VET FEE-HELP application is encouraged.

Your Tax Invoice will include details on payments due and details on how to make payments. Billy Blue College of Design equipment fees should be paid in full two weeks prior to course commencement.

Overseas students – You must provide payment for your Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) or proof of existing OSHC before your enrolment can be confirmed. You should provide this at the same time as your deposit and signed Written Agreement.

Conditional offers – Some applicants may be issued a Conditional Letter of Offer if most entry requirements have been met and it will be possible for the applicant to meet the remaining entry requirements. Applicants with a Conditional Letter of Offer must meet the conditions of the offer before they can finalise their enrolment and enrol in specific units of study.
