Industry Speaker Series #3

Thank you to those who came to the evening with Hannah and Sean. We enjoyed having you all at the college again.

We are having our last scheduled speaker night next week. With Guy (Yug ) Blomberg of Mana Bar. Has brought to life the concept of the video game bar; this promises to be an entertaining evening.

It will be held again at our campus in Fortitude Valley, 10 Costin Street from 6pm to 8pm. And again -the evening is free of charge and light refreshments will be served.

Guy (aka Yug) is the one to blame for this whole video game bar thing, coming up with the idea and stubbornly running with it and dragging his mates along with him.

Yug has been a designer for as long as he can remember, although professionally for about 10 years now. Yug has worked for a wide variety of companies and clients, designing every kind of website imaginable - from adult to corporate, nightclubs to restaurants, musicians, government, festivals, and more.

Yug has a lifelong love for video games as well, as perhaps evidenced in his personal projects which tend to revolve around them in one way or another.

Through these Yug has become interested and experienced in all areas of gaming - as a journalist, developer and publisher. Yug has spoken at numerous events such as GCAP, Game On, SupaNova, eGames and DEVELOP. He also runs the popular gaming website AustralianGamer.com, and was mixing gaming and drinking parties in nightclubs long before Guitar Hero. You'll also find him working at the Mana Bar on most nights ... when he's able to be dragged away from Starcraft 2 beta.
