Academic & Support Services

We are happy to support our students throughout their studies. A range of personal, academic, and language support services are available in Billy Blue campus.

Support for academic progression

Students need to achieve satisfactory course progress in the course of study. If this is not achieved, students are advised to meet with Deputy Head of College to discuss concerns.

Program Directors of each design stream are available to talk through course concerns, issues or assistance.

Access to lecturers

After class hours our students can always access one lecturer that will be there during the day, as well as until the college closes late. The lecturer will be able to help with design details, typography, the Adobe Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat).

English language support for overseas students

Academic skills tutor from Billy Blue College of English give weekly sessions on research skills, avoiding plagiarism, referencing, note taking, summarising, writing assignments, tackling exam essays and much more. Students are also encouraged to make individual appointments with the tutor to discuss their assignments before submitting them. Students can make an appointment at the Think: Student Services reception. Most students who take advantage of this service do much better in their assignments and exams.
