Counselling is the process of receiving help from a trained and experienced counsellor. A counsellor will help you identify and work through specific issues that you are facing. They can help you break down big problems and develop long-term personal and study skills. Counsellors are particularly helpful if an issue is difficult to face alone or you are unsure how to deal with an issue.

Counselling is a private and confidential service. Personal information is not disclosed without your consent. The only exception is when it is necessary to protect you or someone else from immediate harm. Your counsellor will discuss privacy issues with you. If you have any particular concerns let your counsellor know so they can be addressed.
