This program will enable you to build your academic and English skills to succeed in the design program. Learn to refine your research and referencing skills, become efficient in planning your study time and upgrade your skills in writing assignments. You will also learn how to be an effective member of a team, think critically and achieve the best assessment results.
An added advantage of this course is access to Learning and Academic Skills (LAS) support for your entire study duration at Billy Blue College of Design.

Day in the Life workshops
Imagine.... A day in the life of a designer. Explore and be inspired!
What happens at our college and what do communication, digital media and Interior designers & branded environment designers actually do? Find out by spending the day working on a design brief, producing artwork by hand and digitally, then taking it to the production stage. Experience a day in the life of a designer!

Short Courses
Our 1, 2 and 3 day short courses are designed for people who want to add new skills or improve their creative understanding and output. Courses run throughout the year, on Saturdays and weeknights from March to December and midweek during the day in January/February. Small practical classes (max 10) are led by trained industry professionals, and all with the focus on design. This is highly effective training. You can learn graphic and web design software tools - Adobe Creative Suite, Dreamweaver, After Effects, Maya, Flash - or explore other areas of creativity – Writing Effective Copy, Design Basics, Digital Portrait Photography, Typography, Drawing Creatively.
