PAX Australia is looking a little different this year instead of visiting us in Melbourne, we’ll come straight to your screens online! PAX Online is taking place for Australia on 13 – 21 September with streaming 24 hours a day! Every gamers dream right? Don’t worry, we’ll have time to rest in between days but you can still access our booth when we’re not streaming our events.

So you’re wondering, what will we be streaming? With the help of our Creative Technology academics at Billy Blue and our New Zealand Creative School, Media Design School, they are teaming up together to bring you panel talks, our very own Game Jam and a lot more!

Join our celebration of dames in games hosted by Tece Bayrak, Senior Lecturer Media Design School, Ally Sheather, Kellie Lautier, and Kiara du Toit – these ladies are well versed in forging a career in gaming – and are keen to share their tips with you on starting your own adventure.

Here’s your chance to chat live with a few legendary Rioters and hear all about how they got started in the industry. So, who’s who? Hear from Billy Blue College of Design alumni and Blowfish Studio’s concept artist, Sheree Fiala, Blowfish Studio’s Narrative Director, Ellen Jurik, and Media Design School alumni and Grinding Gear Games Rigging Artist, Lena Yaroshenko on how they got started in a career in the gaming industry. Blowfish creates the best-in-class games and interactive content (Siegecraft, Minesweeper Genius and Obey Me to name drop a few). Ask all your questions about getting started in game development for PC, mobile, consoles, as well as VR and AR.
